Summer is FINALLY upon us and that means it's time to get you and your furbabies out into our great Cleveland, Ohio area Metroparks system! And you always have your phones on you, right? I bet you even pull out your phones when you see a great photo opp happen right before your eyes! As any pet lover will probably admit, we have hundreds, even thousands of pixures of our four legged furbabies on our phones, I know I do! But how many of them are "print worthy"? Do you struggle to get your pets to look at you when you have them perfectly posed? We all have a ton of those images where something off camera pulls their attention away from you. Yes, even I do, Northeast Ohio's professional pet photographer of 25 years. In fact, my boy Leo is one of the hardest subjects I have ever worked with (and I maybe a bit biased, but one of the cutest as well).
If you haven't thought of this already, there are a ton of apps out there that will help get your pets attention. Even for horses! These are a few of my fellow pet photographer's fav's: Pup Pic, Dog Sounds, All Ears Selfie and Duck Sounds. So go load some apps, and give them a try! I would love to see the images you take with these apps! feel free to join my Facebook page that is dedicated to taking better images of your pets and post your images (please include what app you used to help others): Taking Better Images of Your Pets Facebook Group
I will also be holding a workshop here in my Northeast Ohio Portrait Studio in Broadview Heights, Ohio on Saturday, June 8th, 2019. This workshop will be extremely hands on and structured around what your largest issues are when it comes to photographing your pets. Now, grab your dog and your phone and go have some fun!!
